Libertytown is a small town located in Frederick County, Maryland. The town has a rich history dating back to the American Revolutionary War. Libertytown was founded in 1776 by a group of settlers from Pennsylvania. These settlers were fleeing religious persecution and seeking freedom to practice their religion. The town was named after the Liberty Bell, an important symbol of the American Revolution. Today, Libertytown is a charming historic town with just over 700 people.
